Outline

The project at 68 Pall Mall was for the strip out and refurbishment of the penthouse apartment for Nebulu Limited.

The apartment is a duplex over the fifth and sixth floors of the building.

The building is on the end of a row of properties on the southern side of the west end of Pall Mall, constructed circa 1920.

It is Grade II listed and the site falls within Westminster St. James’ Conservation Area.

Development

The penthouse was significantly refurbished, including the replacement and refurbishment of the windows.

The current mezzanine floor was removed and a new first level created, along with reconfiguration of the internal layouts and rooms. The existing stairs were removed and a new staircase created in a different location.

Internally, the works included a full strip out and refurbishment. Underfloor heating throughout, new electrical and lighting installations and new sanitaryware were fitted and installed. There were a range of specialist fittings such as fumed Eucalyptus veneer joinery elements, Walnut timber panelling and high end book matched marble tiling to the bathrooms

Challenges

The marble was sourced from Italy, Sicily, Patagonia and Czech Republic whilst the fumed Eucalyptus veneer joinery elements were sourced from Australia. This meant that orders and deliveries were crucial to not interfere with the programme and deliver to the client on time.
